Subscribe
MOSCOW, April 18 (RIA Novosti) - A junior world ice hockey championship-with 18 for ceiling age-is on in Czechia. The Russian team scored a third victory yesterday, over Germany, 12-4 (7-0, 3-0, 2-4).

Mikhail Slipchenko, their head coach, has proved fine-the team has had three meets for now, and lost none to assuredly lead the A group. Tomorrow, they are for this stage's last and hardest match, with Canada.

There was another meet Sunday, USA-Switzerland. Americans made it a spectacular 7-1. None excelled more than forward Phil Kessel, one of the world's brightest rising stars. He made three goals and two passes. Like Russians, Americans have not lost a single meet to score 6 in three B group matches.
