MOSCOW

* A cabinet session will be held (10.00). The government is to consider the draft law On the Special Economic Zone in the Kaliningrad Region and draft laws on the ratification of Russian-Armenian and Russian-Yemenite intergovernmental agreements on the encouragement and mutual protection of investments.

* Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with his Eritrean counterpart Ali Said Abdella (13.00) and Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Dai Bingo (17.30).

* The Russian Economic Development and Trade Ministry will present the Russian part of the Russian-Japanese organization for trade and investments (14.00). - a roundtable on the topic "International cooperation and experience exchange in the oil and gas sphere" (10.00).

* The Victory Russian organizing committee and the federal agency for press and mass communications will give a joint press conference on preparations for the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (12.00).

* The Russian Information Agency Novosti will host a press conference with first deputy chairman of the State Duma education and science committee Oleg Smolin on key issues of the Russian education policy (14.00).

* The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host a scientific-practical conference entitled "Innovation programs for orphan children and problems of juvenile legislation in Russia" (10.00).

* The two-day seminar on the problems of execution of punishment of compulsory works will open in Moscow (10.00). It is organized by the International Prison Reform organization and the federal service for execution of punishments.

* The Moscow Carnegie Center will host the presentation of the book "Overall Obesrvation. The Nuclear Security Strategy" (17.00).

* Moscow will host a press conference on the 6th international forum "High technologies of the 21st century" (12.00).

* Moscow will host a press conference on the 7th EU film festival in Moscow scheduled for April 18-27 (11.00).

* The Belarussian railway station will host a rally, a concert and a solemn departure of the Memory Train to Berlin (8.38). Its passengers are 70 WWII veterans who took part in the Berlin operation and were decorated with medals For the Seizure of Berlin.

THE NORTHERN FLEET

* Commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy Vladimir Kuroyedov, currently visiting the Northern Fleet units, is to meet with a group of veterans of the Great Patriotic War. They will go to sea on board the Pyotr Veliky (Peter the Great) heavy missile cruiser. At the site of the wreck of the Tuman patrol ship they will throw flowers and wreaths to the water to commemorate sailors killed during the war.

ST. PETERSBURG

* The Tavrichesky Palace will host a session of the Bureau of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) and the sixth session of the EurAsEC Inter-parliamentary Assembly.

VLADIKAVKAZ

* A delegation of the European Commission, currently on a trip to the North Caucasus, will visit North Ossetia to consider investment and socio-economic problems of the republic.

KALININGRAD

* Atwo-day business seminar will open in Kaliningrad. German and Finnish businessmen will examine conditions of economic activities in the city and establish direct contacts with local entrepreneurs.

TBILISI

* Two-day Russian-Georgian talks on military issues at the level of state delegations will open in Tbilisi.
