LONDON, April 12 (RIA Novosti) - Arkadi Dvorkovich, presidential expert board chief, expects Russia's gross domestic product to increase by 6 to 7 per cent this year, he said to Novosti. The expert is taking part in the Russian Economic Forum, now underway in London.

The 1 per cent bracket depends on the various roads economic policies may take. Anyway, his own forecast is quite in keeping with that of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, which is 6.5 per cent, said Mr. Dvorkovich.

The GDP growth rate will equally depend on the foreign economic situation and on the pace institutional reforms will take, he added.

An initial government forecast of the GDP increase for the year was at 5.8 per cent. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade revised it, early this month, proceeding from the new Urals petroleum settlement price, $39 a barrel. The latest ministerial forecast is at 6.5 per cent.
