HANOVER, GERMANY, April 10 (RIA Novosti) - Russia is elaborating a general concept of transactions to sell manufacturing companies with military-industrial items accounting for a large share of produce-companies similar to the Siloviye Mashiny. Global experience has come under analyses for the purpose, Viktor Khristenko, Energy Minister, said to a Hanover fair news conference.

The Siemens concern is Russia's time-tested partner, and the Siloviye Mashiny venture will in no way tell on its role and prestige, he reassured.

The tentative Siemens-Siloviye Mashiny transaction is expected to come under discussion during Hanover fair conferences.

Military-oriented technologies are the biggest stumbling blocks in decision-making on whether the transaction will find approval, the minister said to newsmen on a previous occasion.

As the Interros holding-Siloviye Mashiny proprietor-and Siemens announced, last summer, they had come to an understanding to start a joint venture with a 71 per cent Siloviye Mashiny block on its authorized capital. Russia's Federal Anti-Monopoly Service is presently considering a bid for the block.

The Siloviye Mashiny concern brings together the Leningrad Metalworks, the Elektrosila factory, the Kaluga Turbine Works, the Turbine Blade Works, Energomashexport Co., and the Polzunov research-cum-production amalgamation.
