A police squad was checking the received information about some culprits staying in a private house. The bandits refused surrender and started shooting. They were killed with retaliatory fire, said the press-service spokesman. He did not specify whether there were victims from among policemen, neither he mentioned bandits' names. Policemen found a considerable amount of explosives in the house where the culprits were sheltering.
The source in the law-enforcing bodies also said that in the two-storey mason house where the bandits were found, the policemen discovered a ready-for-use explosive device, some TNT blocks and gadgetry for explosive production.
"There are all grounds to say that a number of terror acts have been prevented thanks to the special operation", said the informant.
