2005 WILL HARDLY WITNESS RUBLE STIFFENING VS. DOLLAR

MOSCOW, April 5 (RIA Novosti) - No considerable stiffening of the ruble against the dollar is to be expected on results of 2005, believes rector of the International Exchange Business Academy Forex Club Vyacheslav Taran.

"2005 has not shown very considerable strengthening of the Russian against the American currency. I think fluctuations will lie within three to five percent", Taran says in the RIA Novosti interview.

Key for Russia is now the maintenance of economic stability and the Central Bank ruble policy is targeting it, he says.

"The Russian economy wants neither weak nor strong ruble. It wants the stable ruble slightly biased to strengthening to make every Russian be proud of his currency", Taran added at the RIA Novosti press conference.

Simultaneously, he believes that the three-year cycle of the global debilitation of the dollar is drawing to an end.

"We will see serious stiffening of the American currency and, in a year or two, the dollar-euro parity will be reached", he explained.

Russia's Forex market marks its tenth birthday in 2005.

"Work on the Forex market is among the most efficient methods to keep in hand the dependence of accumulated money on rate changes of the world currencies. But in Russia the development of the Forex market was held back by the low level of preparation of potential clients", Taran said.

Forex Club was the first to comprehend the need of using special education programs for broad clientele, and in 2003 established the International Exchange Business Academy - an institution specializing in training of specialists for exchange business.
