TBILISI, April 2 (RIA Novosti) - Former interior minister of the self-proclaimed Republic of South Ossetia Dzhemal Karkusov has been detained, the Novosti-Georgia agency reported quoting the South Ossetian press and information committee report.
Dzhemal Karkusov, his brother Yanek and Tamerlan Kokoyev have been detained as a result of a search and rescue operation carried out by the officers of the South Ossetian State Security Committee.
Firearms and fake documents were seized from the detainees accused of illegal keeping of weapons. Criminal proceedings have been launched.
