BELGRAD, March 27 (RIA Novosti) - There are no reasons for concern about the future of Russian-Kyrgyz relations because Moscow had been maintaining contacts with the Kyrgyz opposition for a long time, stated Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kosachev in an interview with RIA Novosti on Saturday. Kosachev is on a working visit to Belgrade in the framework of his Balkans tour.

According to Kosachev, the opposition that came to power in Kyrgyzstan "does not have complexes in relation to Russia and is not going to play the anti-Russian card in nationalist interests."

"At the same time, the circumstances in which the opposition came to power are rather sad," Kosachev underlined. "It is a blind cloning of "orange," "rose," and "violet" revolutions."

In his opinion, the events in Bishkek create a dangerous precedent. "Without transparent and reasonable criteria of evaluation of the results of parliamentary elections and their democratic character, the opposition in some countries after losing the elections will inevitably recur to violence," the head of State Duma committee stressed.

Meanwhile, according to information posted on Kyrgyz web sites, a call center on the fight against looting has been created in Bishkek after a wave of robberies and arsons spread over the capital.

New authorities introduced seven phone numbers urging people to call in case of a threat of assault, or simply to inform local law enforcement about large gatherings of people, arsons and robberies.

Mobile squads on help in the fight against looters coordinate actions of law enforcement operatives, firefighters and volunteers.

In the situation when the police fled after the change of the regime, the new authorities urged people to take the place of former law enforcement officers. Today, volunteers form the core of forces that attempt to reestablish order in the capital.

On Saturday, Kyrgyz interim president Kurmanbek Bakiyev thanked all residents of Bishkek who responded to his appeal to join the ranks of volunteer brigades, promising that he will not limit his gratitude to simple words.

Last night, the wave of violence in Bishkek subdued somewhat, meeting resistance on the part of new authorities and the population of the capital.
