MOSCOW, March 20 (RIA Novosti) - Besides Jalal-Abad, another four regions of Kyrgyzstan are under people's control, Kyrgyz Fatherland opposition movement leader Roza Otunbayeva said live on the Echo of Moscow radio.
In her words, "a popular akim" was elected in the Kochkorsky district of the Naryn region, in the Uzgensky district of the Osh region, and in two districts of the Jalal-Abad region.
Speaking on the situation in Jalal-Abad, Otunbayeva said that after the operation held by OMON, "people took control over the city by midday."
In her words, all police in Jalal-Abad passed on the side of the people.
"One can easily say that these regions are under popular control," stressed the opposition leader.
