According to Prikhodko, the participants of the summit discussed in detail Russia-EU cooperation in the context of the preparation for the upcoming Russia-EU summit in Moscow. In particular, the participants focused on the drafts of "road maps" for four common Russia-EU spaces.
Prikhodko stated that during the summit in Paris Putin announced, "Russia welcomes the expansion of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union because it meets our interests, as well."
In addition, the participants of the summit discussed in detail the situation in Kosovo.
Putin underlined that the Kosovo problem has an applied character because both Europe and CIS have a number of ongoing conflicts that are similar to that in Kosovo, Prikhodko pointed out.
By the initiative of Jacques Chirac, the leaders of the four countries also exchanged opinions on the situation around Lebanon and Syria.
"The sides agreed on the majority of issues related to the situation in the Middle East," the Russian President's aide said.
"The participants of the summit unanimously agreed that it was necessary to support the efforts of Palestinian Premier Mahmoud Abbas and the positive steps taken by the Israeli leadership. The current ceasefire between Israel and Palestine must become permanent," Prikhodko announced.
