"The document regulates questions of bilateral interaction, including in realizing new projects of Gazprom. Among them is the construction of the North-European gas pipeline, development of the South-Russian field, development of gas transport systems beyond Russia, as well as electric energy projects", the Gazprom press service reports.
The two approved a new composition of the Coordinating Committee on Bilateral Cooperation, set up two new working groups - Shelf Projects, Energy-Saving and Ecology, the press release says.
The press service recalls that the two companies have been in cooperation since 1993 and the main projects realized are in the field of telecommunications and process automation.
Among the priority directions of cooperation are automated control and remote-control systems in the United Gas-Supply System, telecommunication networks, information technologies.
In September 2003 Gazprom and Siemens signed an addition to the memorandum on cooperation. In line with it, the Coordinating Committee on Bilateral Cooperation was set up.
