"The program is initiated by France but in the future it will be European and intend the development and manufacture of technological demonstrators for developing a carrier in cooperation with Russia in the future", he noted.
According to the Roskosmos spokesman, manned-flight proposals concern further use of the International Space Station, particularly as regards life support.
"The ISS working group and Manned Flights noted the similar approaches shown to the ISS development and the United States' space-exploration initiative. It has outlined short- and long-term prospects concerning the ISS, specifically in life support", said the spokesman.
The end goal of the cooperation program is the possibility of realizing by 2020 economically efficient, strong, reliable and environmentally-friendly arrangement enabling launch, transportation and servicing of satellites, spaceships and orbital stations, said the spokesman for Roskosmos.
