MOSCOW, March 3 (RIA Novosti) - Information about platinum and natural diamond reserves, extraction and consumption has been removed from a Russian list of state secrets. Valuables preserved at the State Fund and the Central Bank of Russia are the only exception.

President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to amend a list of state secret information, as confirmed by federal presidential decree No. 1203 of November 30, 1995, reports the Kremlin press service.

Federal law No. 153 FZ, of November 11, 2003, "On State Secrecy", qualifies as classified only information about reserves of platinum, other platinum group metals, and natural diamonds in the State Precious Metal and Stone Fund of the Russian Federation, and the Central Bank. Whatever information concerning reserves, extraction, assignation and consumption of platinum, other platinum group metals, and natural diamonds is no longer on the list.
