"I hope parliament will come as a ruling tool to help pursue our efforts for stability," he added.
The President hopes this year will usher in republican economic reforms. He highlighted their several aspects-construction, capital investment attraction, and introduction of a two-level budget-all expected to increase district officers' attention to enhancing the taxable basis.
President Alkhanov highly appreciated his recent conference with Alexei Miller, Gasprom boss. Among other matters, they discussed prospects to restore the Chechen gas-piping network, and Chechen debts to the gas mammoth, stocked up since 1993. The Chechen population will willingly pay for gas if only fees are affordable, reassured the President.
"Just as my government, I am anxious to put an end to our sponging policies," he stressed.
