He told RIA Novosti that his main goal was to return the company to a country 25 percent of whose energy capacities were built with assistance from the Soviet Union.
The Tekhnopromexport delegation spoke to the Syrian Power and Irrigation Ministers, company managers.
Sergei Molozhavy noted that at these talks the Syrian side confirmed that Russian equipment brought there by Tekhnopromexport has won good repute. In addition, many Syrian specialists have been trained in the Soviet Union and know Russian machines inside out. This is why managers of Syrian energy companies would like them to be further supplied, he said.
Sergei Molozhavy stressed that Syria has won repute as a reliable partner and has no debts to Tekhnopromexport.
During the visit, a protocol was signed on the Russian company's participation in the construction of new facilities in Syria, such as ten substations and a water-storage station.
"We plan the volume of our cooperation with Syria to be measured in hundreds of millions of dollars," the head of Tekhnopromexport said.
