PRESIDENT DEMANDS EQUAL TERMS FOR RUSSIAN COMPANIES IN TURKEY

ANKARA, December 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russian companies must be put on a par with others engaged in the Turkish market, insists Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"We hope our companies-military-technological and others-will enjoy equal terms with all others in the Turkish market," he said to a Russian-Turkish business forum. "I mean a tender for big copters," he specified his point.

At present, Turkey is choosing the country from which to import close support helicopters. Russia has offered two war craft-the KA 50-2 and the MI 28NE.

"Our produce is highly competitive in terms of both price and quality," said President Putin. "We have made steps few usually do," he added. In particular, Russia has authorised Turkey to host a part of manufacturing facilities, and agreed to Turkish re-exports. Exporters never agree to such terms, with token exceptions, pointed out Mr. Putin.

"We went so far as to name a helicopter after Mr. Erdogan-even before he became Turkey's Prime Minister," stressed the President.
