ANKARA, December 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's military-technological export turnover is expected to leap over a five billion US dollar mark this year, President Vladimir Putin said to the media in Ankara, while on visit to Turkey.

When a reporter asked him about his opinion of transnational military-technological partnership, the President said:

"Its extending geography and growing amount satisfy us. The sphere is making steady and dynamic progress."

On the whole, Mr. Putin approves the developments. "I regard [Russia's] military-technological partnership with other countries a welcome positive trend. We are extending its geography. We are building up presence in Asian markets, Southeast Asia considered. We are making initial steps to reappear in Latin American markets, which offer fine prospects."

Russia stays true to its longer-established partners in Europe to promote its military technologies, and offer maintenance and repair services, added the President.
