OSCE AND EU READY TO SEND OBSERVERS FOR REPEAT VOTING IN UKRAINE

KIEV, December 5 (RIA Novosti) - Secretary General of OSCE Jan Kubis and a special

representative of the President of the EU Foreign Ministers' Council Nicolas Bichman stated their readiness to send EU observers for the repeat voting of the second round of presidential elections in Ukraine.

Press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported on Sunday that both officials made their statements on the eve of their upcoming meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Grischenko in Kiev.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the current political situation in the country, praising the role of international intermediaries in stabilization of the internal situation in Ukraine.

"Jan Kubis and Nicolas Bichman highly praised the decision of the Ukrainian Supreme Court to conduct the repeat voting of the second round of presidential elections and expressed their readiness to send OSCE and EU observers to participate in the monitoring of this process," the statement made by the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry says.

During the meeting, the sides also discussed the possibility of participation of the Ukrainian Foreign Minister in the meeting of OSCE Foreign Ministers' Council, which will be held on December 6-7 in Sofia.
