KIEV, December 2 (RIA Novosti) - The Ukrainian opposition is ready to build a new parliamentary majority in a very short term, Yulia Timoshenko, a leader of the Popular Power coalition, told the news conference in Kiev.

"We go on vigorously building a new parliamentary majority under the new president, Victor Yuscheno", the news agency Novosti-Ukraine cites Timoshenko as saying.

"It can be talked of in a day or two", she said.

To her, the Ukrainian opposition has prepared applications to the Ukrainian Security Service and the Prosecutor General's Office for initiating a criminal case against the incumbent president, Leonid Kuchma.

"Kuchma is the only one today who stands in the way of political settlement", Timoshenko said.

She again demanded that the president dismiss the government and the governors who make separatist statements; and submit proposals to parliament on a new set-up of the Central Election Commission.
