MOSCOW, November 10 (RIA Novosti) - It will take formidable legislative amendments to build up Moscow air defence by anti-aircraft forces under the Special Assignment Command, holds Colonel-General Yuri Solovyev, Moscow AA troops commander.

"Our troops are ready to cope with whatever mission, but to guard Moscow better we need streamlined legislation for greater efficiency of air alert," he remarked to top municipal officers as they gathered today for a mobilisation readiness class.

The Moscow AA force has sufficient manpower and equipment to guard air approaches to the city-the manning status, aviation, arsenals and gadgetry vary from 98 to 102 per cent of those prescribed, reassured General Solovyev.

The Special Assignment Command held a one-day class for the city fathers at its HQ. The event gathered roughly 200 municipal officers-city councillors, district prefects, and district board chairs and vice-chairs.

General Solovyev told them about the Special Assignment Command part in air defence of Moscow and the Central Russia economic area. The gathering was also informed about AA troops routine.
