LONDON, November 7 (RIA Novosti) - On November 7, the Day of Reconciliation and Accord (the former day of the 1917 Great October Socialist Revolution), artistic director of St. Petersburg's Mariinsky (formerly Kirov) Theater Valery Gergiyev will organize a concert in London to collect money for Beslan's children.

The concert will take place at the London Coliseum of the English National Opera. The theater's soloists and orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiyev will participate in the concert.

The money gained from the concert will be used to liquidate consequences of the terrorist attack on school No. 1 in early September and to implement long-term restoration projects in Beslan. All in all, 350 people including 170 children were killed in Beslan.

Prince Charles of Wales will attend the charity concert, said the press service of the Buckingham Palace.

The two-hour concert program includes Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Pathetic Symphony and fragments from his ballet The Nutcracker, Sergei Prokofyev's 2nd violin concert and Modest Mussorgsky's Songs and Dance of Death. Dmitry Khvorostovsky will sing the solo part.

The price of tickets ranges from 6 to 125 pounds. The organizers hope to collect about 100,000 pounds. This money will go to North Ossetia.

"This concert is a part of our joint efforts on the assistance to Ossetian families, people who survived those horrible days in Beslan. We want to support them now and in the future" the Sunday Times quoted Valery Gergiyev born to an Ossetian family as saying.

The performance in London will be the second concert organized by the Mariinsky Theater to help Beslan. The first one took place in late October in Paris and the third concert will be held in Rome on December 3.

According to Mr. Gergiyev, the Mariinsky Theater is to work out a long-term plan of assistance to Beslan.

Therefore, 50% of the money collected in the English National Opera will be invested in these long-term projects, in particular, the opening of a music school in Beslan.
