VLADIMIR PUTIN SIGNS A LAW ON RATIFICATION OF PROTOCOL TO THE AGREEMENT ON PARTNERSHIP WITH EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES

MOSCOW, November 6 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a Federal Law "On ratification of the Protocol to the Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation, which establishes a partnership between the Russian Federation and various European communities and their Member States considering the recent accession of the Czech Republic, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Cyprus, the Hungarian Republic, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Malta, the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovak Republic to the European Union."

The State Duma (lower chamber of the Russian parliament) adopted the law on October 22, 2004 and the Federation Council (upper chamber) - on October 27, 2004, reported the press service of the Russian president on Saturday.
