MOSCOW, October 26 (RIA Novosti) - A constituent meeting of the Russian-Turkish Business Council will be held on Tuesday at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a spokesman for the chamber's public relations department said.

"At the meeting decisions will be made on the business council's legal status," the spokesman said, "and the structure and composition of the management will be determined. The participants in the meeting will also exchange views on the type of activities the council will be involved in and upcoming actions for the next period."

Yevgeny Primakov, the chamber's president, will chair the meeting. Representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the heads of a number of regional chambers of commerce and industry and the heads of leading Russian and Turkish firms interested in bilateral cooperation will attend the meeting.

When the council's organizing committee met in August, Mr. Primakov said the council would create the necessary conditions for investments in the economies of both countries.

"This additional mechanism should not become another bureaucratic structure," he said. "It is called upon to make contacts in the business community easier and help implementing non-standard ideas."
