While introducing to the press the Russian exposition, which showcases the production of 15 Russian defense and industry sector enterprises under the Rosoboronexport emblem, Mr. Belousov said: "I assure you, neither we nor the foreign participants of the exhibition aim at sitting at the table and signing contracts."
In his words, the main task is "to attract attention to their own developments, as well as to study the capabilities and achievements of opponents and establish reliable business contacts for the future."
Mr. Belousov said the Russian delegation had planned a series of talks with potential foreign partners. "In one case, the talks will be held on our initiative, and in three others, on the initiative of foreign companies," said the head of the Russian delegation, adding that this was once again an evidence of the interest foreign companies displayed in the production and developments of the Russian defense and industry sector.
He emphasized that "due to ethic and business reasons," he couldn't name the companies yet. However, Mr. Belousov said the talk was first of all about contacts with France.
The head of the Russian delegation called interaction of Russia and a foreign country in developing and manufacturing military hardware and armaments for subsequent sale to third countries a promising direction of cooperation. "Several years ago it was hard to imagine such interaction, but today we pay very serious attention to it," said Mr. Belousov.
As an example, he cited the delivery to India of three frigates, where, along with Russian, German and American equipment was installed.
