MOSCOW, October 24 (RIA Novosti) - Chechnya's President Alu Alkhanov told RIA Novosti on Sunday that more feature films would be shot in Chechnya.

Mr. Alkhanov came to Moscow to attend the celebration of the 30th anniversary of a great Soviet action film about the Civil War, "A Foe Among Friends and A Friend Among Foes." The film was shot in Chechnya.

"I am happy that the film was shot in Chechnya - I recognize the scenery and some places. I wish more such films were shot in the Chechen Republic," he said.

"I am aware that it will take a lot of work and a long time to do that, but still I am sure that we'll be there finally," he added.

According to the Chechen President, he made an arrangement with renowned Russian director Nikita Mikhalkov, the author of the celebrated movie, to shoot another film in a year or so, "about positive aspects and deeds that will certainly be around."

"As I see it, this will take my efforts as well as those of other positively oriented people in our republic, which we have in abundance," Mr. Alkhanov said and confessed he was feeling nostalgia when watching the film whose scene is laid in the 1920s, right after the Civil War.

Nikita Mikhalkov is a famous Russian actor starring in 45 films and director, the author of 15 feature and 12 feature short movies, winning 30 Russian and international movie awards, including Grand Prix of the Venice Film Festival in 1991 and Oscar for the best foreign film in 1994.
