Its participants will discuss problems of the industry's efficiency and competitiveness of Russian timber products, the forum's organizing committee reported.
On the sideline of the forum there will be conferences titled "Timber industry. Distribution of forest resources", "Furniture production. Factors for success on the market", "Wooden house building. Materials and components", "New decisions and innovative developments for the timber industry".
Also, the forum will arrange specialized exhibitions "Tekhnodrev", "Transles", "Interles", "Wooden construction" and "Paper and cardboard products", where leading Russian and foreign producers will present their products.
The forum will hold an award ceremony of annual All-Russian prizes. It will announce laureates of the Gold Cutter, the award for production and supplies of woodworking equipment and technologies; the Tin Woodman, awards for forestry technologies and equipment; the IFEP Awards for production and supplies of furniture, accessories and components, as well as the Leader of the Russian Timber Industry badge.
The forum will be attended by over 3,000 timber industrialists from 50 regions of Russia and 25 countries.
It is held under the auspices of the Russian Industry and Energy Ministry, the Natural Resources Ministry, the Economic Development Ministry, the St. Petersburg administration, the Leningrad region government and leading
timber associations.
