MOSCOW, October 10 (RIA Novosti) - The fate of nine Russian citizens who were missing in the explosion in the Egyptian resort town of Taba is still uncertain.

"These are people who stayed in destroyed rooms or were near the hotel," RIA Novosti was told by Russian Vice Consul in Egypt Vladimir Bondarenko, who is in Taba. "They are likely to be under the debris," he said. According to the Russian diplomat, their identification in this case will be complicated.

Yesterday the body of a Russian citizen who died last Friday in the explosion at the Hilton hotel was identified.

RIA Novosti was told by the Russian embassy to Egypt that four Russians were now being treated in Egyptian hospitals, three of them in Sharm-el-Sheikh and one in Nuveiba. Another four Russians are receiving medical aid at aid stations on the territory of the neighboring Israel.

232 tourists from Russia were on holiday in Taba. Most of them flew to Russia Sunday morning. Some 30 tourists decided to continue having rest in Egypt.
