RUSSIA'S OIL PRODUCTION TEN PERCENT UP OVER NINE MONTHS

MOSCOW, October 6 (RIA Novosti) - Over the last nine months, the production of oil in Russia has increased buy 9.7 percent to 341,149,300 tonnes from the same period in 2003, the press release of the Industry and Energy Ministry says.

The Transneft company has supplied 146,319,300 tonnes of oil, or 21,418,400 tonnes more that over the same period a year before.

Over the nine months, Russia has supplied 150,833,600 tonnes of oil, with account for transit resources, to foreign countries. Including that, the export of Russian oil since the start of the year has been 135,048,600 tonnes.

171,165,200 tonnes of oil has been shipped for refining to meet Russia's wants.

Of this amount, 165,201,400 tonnes went to refineries in January-September.

Over this period, 30,263,500 tonnes of oil went to former Soviet republics.

Over the nine months, Russian vertically-integrated companies turned out 312,689,000 tonnes of oil and gas condensate. Number One producer is YUKOS with 64,309,000 tonnes, the second largest producer is LUKoil with 62,688,000 tonnes, TNK-BP with 51,864,000 tonnes, Surgutneftegaz with 43,947,000 tonnes, Sibneft with 25,341,000 tonnes, Tatneft with 18,847,000 tonnes, Slavneft with 16,162,000 tonnes, Rosneft with 15,935,000 tonnes, Bashneft with 9,056,000 tonnes.
