STRASBOURG, October 5 (RIA Novosti's Cristina Rodriguez and Andrei Nizamutdinov) - The Russian Prosecutor General's office is in correspondence with all countries whose nationals are alleged to have been involved in the Beslan hostage-taking act, Sergei Fridinsky, Deputy Prosecutor General, said to Novosti. He is in Strasbourg on Council of Europe invitation.

"We are pointing out with satisfaction that several countries addressed messages to Russia's Foreign Ministry on their own accord, and said they would willingly assist us to atone for foreign involvement in terror acts in Russia," said the prosecutor.

Fifteen out of a total 32 Beslan terrorists have been identified for now, and identification of the others goes on. "When the job is over, we shall inquire their countries," said Mr. Fridinsky.

He cannot specify the figures of alien participation in the Beslan terror act before all are identified, he added. Media outlets have already offered mutually contradictory information on that score, "and I don't want any more muddle," explained Fridinsky.

"That was a multiethnic gang. We said so from the start. I pledge we shall tell everything as soon as identification is over."

24 Beslan victims have not been identified for today, and applications have been made for 27 missing persons. Experts are working to identify all bodies, Sergei Fridinsky said to a news conference in Strasbourg.
