REPRESENTATIVES OF FOREIGN MINISTRIES OF RUSSIA AND NORTHERN EUROPE TO DISCUSS INDUSTRIAL PARTNERSHIP PROBLEMS

PETROZAVODSK, October 5 (RIA Novosti's Alexei Ukkone) - Representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Finland, Sweden and Norway will discuss the problems of industrial partnership of the Barents Sea countries at the meeting of the regional Council of the Barents Euro-Arctic Region (BEAR) to be held in Petrozavodsk on October 5-6.

As RIA Novosti was told in the press service of the government of Karelia, representatives of the administrations of Russia's north-western regions and provinces of Finland, Sweden and Norway and of the foreign companies participating in the projects of cooperation within the BEAR Council will also participate in the meeting.

It is planned to discuss the problems of industrial partnership in the forest sector and the mining and metallurgical industries, and possibilities to enhance the role of the public sector in the process of industrial development in the Barents region.
