GROZNY, October 3 (RIA Novosti) - A boy of twenty-one gave himself up in Chechnya, reports the North Caucasian regional anti-terror operation HQ.

An Urus-Martan villager, he has been with warlord Isrudi Dukhayev's gang since last April, said the boy as he came to the police yesterday.

Several months with the gang made it clear to him that the bandits were fighting against, and to the detriment of the Chechen population. Loath to be accomplice to more crimes, he determined to surrender and join the anti-terror fight.

His evidence helped to track down a militant base in the Urus-Martan district. There were several automatics and a stock of hand-grenades, food and warm clothes for the upcoming winter on the abandoned site. A search is on for Dukhayev's men, the HQ says in a press release.
