PARLIAMENTARY COMMISSION COLLECTS INFORMATION IN BESLAN

MOSCOW, September 25 (RIA Novosti) - The parliamentary commission that has been to Beslan collected a lot of information previously unknown, Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov told journalists on Saturday.

He met with commission members who returned to Moscow after their five-day stay in Beslan.

"After the first day of summing up I can confidently say that the entire Russia and the world will learn the whole truth about the tragic events in Beslan," said Mr. Mironov.

He recalled that the parliamentary commission will not divulge the intermediate results of its work.

The speaker said that in the days to come, the commission members will give the information received to relevant bodies, including the prosecutor general's office.

The upper house chairman also said now the commission is outlining the plan of further actions, in particular, of future business trips "to various regions of Russia."

In Mr. Mironov's words, the next session of the parliamentary commission will be held in the State Duma (lower house) on September 30.
