The sides exchanged official letters on the expansion of mutual trade in machine and technical products.
"It is planned to work out a multiyear plan to prompt trade in machines and equipment", he said.
China has of late been stepping up plant shipments to Russia, which are twice as much as Russia's to China.
"We are interested in having one or two big projects to boost our trade in machines and equipment", Tsyplakov said. They can be projects in the nuclear and electric power sectors. Russia can ship to China mining equipment and high-tech composites.
"The Chinese do not know what Russia manufactures", Tsyplakov regrets. He believes that Russia should be better represented at Chinese exhibitions and fairs. We have plans for Russian manufacturers to be exhibited at the Shanghai industrial show, high-tech fair in Harbin, he said.
Tsyplakov also told RIA Novosti that Russia and China will jointly work against unscrupulous shuttle traders.
In early September a bilateral working group was set up in Beijing to streamline Russian-Chinese trade. The group has already prepared a relative draft memorandum on mutual understanding. The two prime ministers signed the memorandum during the meeting on Friday.
"Shuttle trade is a Chinese concern", Tsyplakov said, noting that both the sides are interested in settling the matter.
Problems with Chinese goods emerge at the Russian customs, he said. "Unscrupulous Russian partners are lowering the cost of goods coming from China and the Russian customs bodies are having to take sanctions against such goods", he explained.
"It is a problem of many years. Eventually, we have begun a constructive dialogue", Sergei Tsyplakov added.
