MOSCOW/VLADIKAVKAZ, September 21 (RIA Novosti) - Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov believes that the parliamentary commission to investigate the causes and circumstances of the terrorist attack on Beslan will be able to complete its work in six months.

"We do not officially limit the terms of the commission's work, however, we expect that it will need no more than six months," Mr. Mironov told a press conference on Tuesday.

According to State Duma speaker, the parliamentary commission comprising 11 senators and 11 State Duma deputies is to find answers to all questions including the question why locals had so many weapons.

The commission members are to analyze all photo and video records, statements of witnesses and journalists who worked in Beslan and use the addresses to the hotline, which was opened in the Federation Council two weeks ago, the speaker said. We have already received "interesting information" on the hotline, he added.

In his words, the results of the commission's work will be summed up in a report, which will be later submitted to the Federal Assembly. "This report will be presented openly," Sergei Mironov noted.

According to RIA Novosti's information, the commission will comprise seven deputies of the United Russia faction. Other members will represent the KPRF (Communist Party), Rodina (Motherland) and LDPR (Liberal-Democratic Party) factions.

The parliamentary commission to investigate the terrorist attack on Beslan will not include independent deputies.

Meanwhile, senators involved in the commission's work arrived in North Ossetia on Tuesday morning. They are to work at the local culture palace not far from the site of the tragedy.

The Federation Council speaker reported earlier that the commission's work would be closed before its end.

On arriving in Vladikavkaz, Federation Council Vice Speaker Alexander Torshin heading the commission said that a twenty-four hour hot telephone line wasopened. Besides, everyone will be able to give information anonymously.

"We are not going to make hasty conclusions. We have visited the school in Beslan and have some questions. Were there caches or not? Did the militants make breakthroughs or not? Did the terrorists had accomplices or not?" Mr. Torshin said.

All commission members have high level access to state secrets, he added.
