This move requires a special act to be signed by the president and to be prepared in the near future. The minister remarked however that the document would have been hardly finalized by October 1.
Asked when restrictions at the stock market of Gazprom accepting Rosneft as its subsidiary would be lifted, the minister was uncertain about the dates. "This issue is being still under discussion," the minister said adding that the ultimate purpose was to lift all the restrictions at the Gazprom market.
Rosneft was announced this week to become Gazprom's subsidiary before the end of the year. Gazprom head Alexey Miller reported that a plan of action for Rosneft and Gazprom integration was likely to be completed by September 20.
A deal involving Gazprom and Rosneft share swap is to take place. All the Rosneft shares to be exchanged for Gazprom shares on the balance sheet of subsidiaries (10.7 percent) will be left with the gas giant. As the Gazprom and Rosneft shares are swapped, the government partnership in Gazprom will increase to 50 percent plus one share.
