GOLITSYNO, MOSCOW REGION, September 11 (RIA Novosti) - A Russian Communist Party of the Future has been founded by a national congress Saturday. The establishment of a new Communist party in addition to the KPRF old-timer formalizes the schism in the country's Communist ranks, which first became evident as

opponents of the KPRF leader Gennady Zyuganov convened an alternative congress this past July.

The decision to set up the Communist Party of the Future (to be called by the Russian acronym VKPB) has been passed by a majority vote. Activists say their new party will rely on Marxist-Leninist ideology, think progressively, and act decisively. Its ultimate goal will be to restore unity to Russia's Communist camp, adds party activist Alexander Kuvayev.

All the delegates who took the floor at today's founding congress harshly criticized the KPRF leadership, accusing them of kowtowing to the Kremlin elite.
