MOSCOW, September 8 (RIA Novosti) - World-renowned performer Vladimir Spivakov has appointed a grand concert in Moscow for his 60th birthday, September 12, Sunday next.

He will dedicate the concert to the memory of Beslan school seizure victims, Spivakov said to a news conference the orchestra of Russia's National Philharmonic Society arranged at the International Music House.

The jubilee concert will be a charitable event. All box office returns, and the earnings of the orchestra, Mr. Spivakov and operatic prima donna Inva Mula will go to the tragedy-shaken North Ossetia.

"We chose Mozart and Bach for the first part of the concert-music that brings souls into harmony. The second part will have Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances. Today is the time to talk love. That's where Tchaikovsky's 'Romeo and Juliet' comes in. Then, this is the time to think about Doomsday. That is why we shall play Symphonic Dances, a great composer's testament in music," said Vladimir Spivakov.

The orchestra will have 42 concerts this season. There will be two concert chains for season tickets. The one, The Life Line and the Metaphysics of Destiny, will offer four performances at the Moscow Conservatory Grand Hall. The other, Love and Death Dances, will have three concerts at the International Music House.

The National Philharmonic Society orchestra and the Moscow Virtuosos, another Spivakov-led orchestra, promise an extremely eventful season. The former will have a tour of Russia for the 60th WWII victory anniversary. The Virtuosos, who are celebrating their silver jubilee this year, will perform in Nizhni Novgorod on the Volga, where they had their maiden concert 25 years ago, next to go on a Siberian tour.
