MOSCOW, September 7 (RIA Novosti's Olga Lipich) - The Grand Kremlin Palace will host an international solidarity act, Together with Serbia, November 15. Alexis II, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, has invited Patriarch Paul of Serbia to attend-and received a grateful consent.

The information reached Novosti from the Orthodox Christian Encyclopaedia theological research centre under the Moscow Patriarchate.

His Beatitude Paul regards the upcoming act as a "landmark in the Serb nation's support and a stride toward the unity of Eastern Christendom".

Among its many goals, the act means a collection to help the Serbian Orthodox Church as it is finishing construction of St. Sabbas' Cathedral, to be consecrated to Serbs' patron saint.

The act is expected to gather top officials of Russia, Serbia and Montenegro, diplomats, religionists, Belgrade and Moscow mayors, and political and cultural activists of Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus and other countries of Eastern Christendom.

Steering the act, Together with Serbia, is the Foundation for Eastern Christian Unity. It has His Beatitude Alexis II for trustee, and enjoys support of the Kremlin staff, the federal Culture Ministry and Moscow's mayoral office.
