MOSCOW, September 7 (RIA Novosti) - Nuclear physicists from Russia's limited-admittance research townships appeared as brilliant hobbyists at a European Games Network show, underway in London. They offered an enticing set of computer games to impress British colleagues and mobile operators, the news.ru website proudly announces.

Three Russian research townships-Sarov, Snezhinsk and Zheleznogorsk-were represented at the EGN. Some of their algorithm games caught cellular phone operators' fancy and are likely soon to appear on mobiles, says Mark Allington of the UK-based AEA Technology Co. Close on thirty tentative corporate partners have taken an interest in Russian games-a spectacular success.

Russian physical and mathematical R&D has a tremendous potential. Many Western companies are eager to implement research achievements of Russia's Ministry of Nuclear Power Industry staff.

The British government launched a programme to support Russian nuclear physicists in 2002.
