At present, 401 patients are staying in hospitals, of them 204 children and 165 adults, total 369, in North Ossetia. 65 patients-38 children among them-are in fatal danger, say headquarters PR.
The republican top prosecutor's experts think it is too early to specify the number of missing persons before all bodies are identified. "I don't think we shall report anyone missing then," remarked Alexander Panov, first deputy prosecutor. The office is active with the identification, he added.
Mr. Panov does not think an available list of 195 missing persons is reliable. "It was public activists who made it. They did not have all information they needed. Many missing people have been found in hospitals, and some names repeated on the list." 107 dead have not been identified for now.
Flocking into the prosecutor's office are anguished applicants in search of relations. The reception room cannot hold them, so they are gathering in the conference hall, Alexander Panov went on.
23 Beslan patients are presently in Moscow hospitals-sixteen children, two men and five women. The Sklifossovsky First-Aid Institute released two patients today, reports Lyubov Zhomova, municipal Health Board press spokeswoman.
