MOSCOW, August 3 (RIA Novosti) - A second group of Iraqi specialists has arrived for on-the-job training at the company OOO LUKOIL-West Siberia, says the LUKOIL press release.

"The first group, which arrived in late July, has ended training and gone home", the communique reads.

Training is done in line with the Memorandum on Understanding and Cooperation, signed on March 10, 2004 in Baghdad by OAO LUKOIL president Vagit Alekperov and Iraqi Oil Minister Bahr al-Ulyum.

The one-month training programme intends theoretical and practical classes in different disciplines connected with modern geological survey and the production of oil and gas.

Under the memorandum, LUKOIL will provide for the training of Iraqi oilmen at its training centres and industrial facilities. This year it is up to 100 Iraqi specialists. In the next five years, up to 150 Iraqis will arrive annually.
