BEIJING, August 29 (RIA Novosti) - China opposes terrorism in any form, and it "firmly supports the Russian government in its counter-terrorism efforts," the Press Attache of the Chinese Embassy to Russia is reported as saying in a statement.
Speaking in the capital of Beijing on Sunday, the diplomat said that China is willing to cooperate with Russia and other members of the global community in countering terrorism, separatism and extremism for the sake of world peace and stability.
This statement follows a telegram of condolences sent to the Kremlin earlier this week by Hu Jintao, Chairman of the People's Republic of China. In his message, the Chinese leader expressed commiseration for all those who had lost their loved ones to the August 24 double air crash.
