ALL-RUSSIA HONEY FAIR IN MOSCOW

MOSCOW, August 28 (RIA Novosti's Dina Mikhailova) - The 12th All-Russia honey fair has opened in the Kolomenskoye state museum-reserve on Saturday, August 28, President of the Russian National Beekeepers' Union Arnold Butov reported.

All in all, 720 beekeepers from 61 Russian regions participate in the fair. They have brought over 3,000 tons of honey.

According to Mr. Butov, beekeepers from Chechnya and North Ossetia take part in the fair for the first time.

The best Russian beekeeper will be chosen at the fair.

Moreover, each customer doubting the quality of honey may turn to the special mobile laboratory.

"All products were strictly selected, but customers can check their quality," Arnold Butov added.

Wooden paths were laid, benches were set and refreshment rooms were open for customers. In addition, a concert will be held.

Honey and beekeeping products' prices will be traditionally low, Mr. Butov assured. Pensioners will get a 10%-20% discount.

The fair will close on October 5.
