MOSCOW, August 24 (RIA Novosti) - Moscow believes that the objective necessity and real possibilities to continue the six-nation talks on North Korea remain, the Russian Foreign Ministry's press and information department said commenting on North Korea's statement on the impossibility of Pyongyang's participation in the next round of the talks because of the U.S. hostile policy.

"The Russian side believes that it is necessary and possible to continue the six-nation talks to solve the problems of the Korean peninsula and maintains active political contacts with all the interested sides," the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.

"Patience and efforts of all the sides is needed to overcome certain differences in their positions," the ministry said.

Moscow believes that Pyongyang still comes out for peaceful solution of the nuclear problem on the Korean peninsula using the political means, as it has been often stated in Pyongyang.

According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Moscow thoroughly considers the statement issued by the North Korean government.
