GROZNY, August 21 (RIA Novosti) - Two more militants have been detained in Chechnya, officials at the Russian Operations Command in the North Caucasus told RIA Novosti. The names of the detainees cannot be disclosed as long as investigation is on, they added.

According to the Operations Command, police apprehended the militants Friday, during a raid on the outskirts of the village Roshni-Chu, in Chechnya's Urus Martan District. A pistol, a Kalashnikov rifle, a number of homespun grenades, and one hundred or so ammunition pieces of varying caliber were found on the men.

During an earlier raid on the village of Achereshki, in the Kurchaloi District, police discovered a militant hideout. There were two tents and a smoldering campfire over there, with pieces of clothing and food leftovers scattered around. In a pit ten meters off the tents, there were plastic containers for gun oil, with Arabic labels on. The disorder around the tents attests to the hastiness with which the camp was left, Russian Operations Command officials note.

Search for Chechen militants in the Kurchaloi District is still ongoing.

Near Staraya Sunzha, outside the capital of Grozny, police came across a cache, with 4.6 kilograms of TNT, one kilogram of an explosive powder, a handmade explosive device, two grenade shells, twenty bombshells, and seven electric detonators.
