MOSCOW, August 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's National Reserve Corporation has transferred a 26% Aeroflot control stock to offshore companies under corporation control. The change will certainly not hit the company, reassures Lev Koshlyakov, Aeroflot-Russian Airlines Deputy Director General.

"We have been notified about the decision. The transfer will have no impact on current Aeroflot activities," he said to RIA Novosti.

The two involved offshore companies base in Cyprus and Luxembourg. Several media outlets reported their stock receipt today. In its quarterly report for last April-June, the Aeroflot acknowledges its control block has changed hands. The National Reserve Corporation refused to comment the news for Novosti.

The government presently holds 51% Aeroflot stock. Prospects are being weighed to privatize it next year. The Cabinet is expected to make a final decision before October.
