The organizers offer grandchildren of the Great Patriotic War veterans to write a story about their relatives and send wartime photographs.
The idea of the project is to make post-war generations remember that they are Victory successors.
Reports of the Soviet Information Bureau, wartime posters, songs and pictures and images of WWII armaments will be published on the www.9may.ru website.
All materials sent by site guests will be published, as well. A unique people's Front Album will be created as a result of the action, which will run until June 2005.
The site will not be closed after that but turn into a kind of Internet-memorial dedicated to Russia's role in the victory over Nazism. A varied encyclopedia of the WWII events will be created on the site.
The website will be backed by the pobeda.ru community in the www.livejournal.com international system.
