PARIS, August 9 (RIA Novosti's Andrei Nizamutdinov) - Akhe Group, a theater company from St. Petersburg, won the Mimos international pantomime festival in Perigueux (France's southwest), the festival's press service reported on Monday.
The Russian company presented two performances, "White Cabin" and "Mr. Carmen".
According to the jury, the Akhe Group works are characterized "by original and remarkable conquest of the stage, rhythm and exuberant imagination".
Companies from nine countries presented 21 performances at the festival.
