MOSCOW, August 6 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian government will analyze factors influencing society stratification into the rich and the poor. A relevant instruction was given to the Health Ministry, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry and the Federal State Statistics Service at a government session on Thursday, the government press service said on Friday.

"The Russian government instructed the Health and Social Development Ministry together with the Economic Development and Trade Ministry and the Federal State Statistics Service, with participation of interested bodies of executive power and organizations, to analyze factors influencing the strengthening of differentiation of the population by the level of income," reads the press service's statement.

The results of this analysis with relevant proposals are to be submitted to the government before October 1, 2004.

By October 1, the profile ministries are to analyze the financial results of the organizations' activity in construction, to report on the reasons of profit reduction in this branch and submit relevant proposals, notes the press release. Economic Development Minister German Gref said on Thursday at a briefing in the House of Government that problems in the construction branch may be connected with the banking sector instability.

Within a week (until August 12), the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, together with the Finance Ministry, the State Statistics Service and the Bank of Russia is to complete the report on the results of Russia's social and economic development in the first six months of this year and submit it to the government for subsequent submission to the State Duma simultaneously with the draft federal law "On the Federal Budget for 2005."

The government recommended the Economic Development and Trade Ministry to specify the assessments of major macroeconomic indices, to reflect in the report the positive tendencies in the social sphere and complete the section "Institutional Transformations."
