GROZNY, July 16 (RIA Novosti) - Two terrorists from the Dzhamaat military unit were arrested in Chechnya, the regional operative staff for the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus told RIA Novosti.
According to the staff, the detainees belonged to the military unit led by a certain Gelkhanov. The terrorists are kept in the pre-trial detention center. Criminal proceedings have been launched.
Meanwhile, other terrorist was arrested in the Grozny district on Thursday evening, the Chechen Interior Ministry told RIA Novosti. Two RPG-7 grenade launchers, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, six rocket launcher rounds and many cartridges of different caliber were seized from him, RIA Novosti's interlocutor said.
According to him, a policeman from Tyumen was wounded by Akhan-Kaly checkpoint in Chechnya on that day.
